This is a full time opportunity at our Madison Clinic and is eligible for benefits.

We are seeking an Ophthalmic Assistant III to supports ophthalmology and optometry providers ensuring quality patient care and optimal customer service.

In this position you will:

  • Obtain initial patient assessment by recording pertinent medical history, visual acuity and performing specialized technical procedures.

  • Perform clerical duties to maintain effective office operations and patient services.

  • Manage the usage, disposal, and replenishment of supplies necessary for an efficiently run clinic.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Evidence of High School Diploma or equivalency.

  • Two (2) years’ experience in an eye care setting.

  • Current Washington State MA registration within 60 days of hire.

  • Current certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA, COT), or

  • US/International Ophthalmologist MD, or US/ International OD Optometrist.

  • Basic Life Support certification within one (1) month of hire.

  • Basic computer skills.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Current Washington State MA certification.

  • IDX knowledge.

  • Bilingual.

The First Hill clinic is conveniently located east of I-5 in central Seattle. The clinic offers both primary care (Internal Medicine) and numerous areas of specialty care from Audiology to Women’s Health. Services offered at First Hill include ambulatory surgery, cardiovascular and echocardiography labs, infusion therapy, x-ray, onsite laboratory and pharmacy. Interpreter services are also available for our patients.
