Pacific Medical Centers Registered Nurse: Living Well Alliance Team - Health and Wellness Educator 1.0 FTE in Seattle, Washington

This is a full time position (40 hours per week) with our Living Well Alliance Team and is eligible for benefits.
We are seeking a Registered Nurse – Health/Wellness Educator to be responsible for Pacific Medical Centers’ employer based community wellness initiatives. This position will do community outreach to employer groups and organizations within the community to provide valuable information and resources on a variety of health topics.
In this position you will:
Conduct on-site biometric screenings, health risk assessments, "Take a break To Educate" programs on a variety of health topics with local employer groups.
Work with physicians and operations leadership to develop, implement and market the project.
Develop and execute strategies and materials to increase visibility of the project internally and externally.
Conduct quality improvement monitoring, implements and facilitates team training and educational sessions.
Provide professional nursing care in alignment with the Washington State Nurse Practice Act and Pacific Medical Centers policies, procedures, and protocols; i.e. provides primary and specialty health care services for the project.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Nursing degree (Baccalaureate, Associate or Diploma) from an accredited school of nursing.
Currently licensed to practice in Washington State.
Completion of American Dietetic Association approved dietetic education program including approved internship program within one year of hire.
Current Diabetic Educator certification (CDE) within two years of hire.
Basic Life Support ACLS certification within 2 month of hire.
Minimum of three years of recent RN experience in a patient care setting or clinical commensurate.
Computer skills: email and word processing.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Ability to use an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
Certified Diabetes Educator Certification
