This is a Per Diem position and is not eligible for benefits nor is there a guarantee of hours. PacMed does pay a 15% Per Diem Premium! This position may work at either our Canyon Park or Madison Clinic.
We are seeking an Infusion Pharmacist to be responsible for sterile preparation of chemotherapy/oncology medications and other infusible medications for an infusion center established in a clinic setting.
In this position you will:
Verify and assist physicians with medication selection, formula preparation, dosage calculations as well as maintain accurate dispensing records and patient records for each patient cared for in the infusion unit.
Ensure accurate and quality pharmacy customer service is provided in a professional manner.
Monitor drug therapy for contraindications, interactions, allergies and appropriateness.
Recommend which infusion drugs are most appropriate for effective, quality responses to patient/physician.
Interpret and fill oncology infusion orders in a sterile, hood environment.
Ensure the accuracy of I.V. admixtures and assist as needed.
Contact and confer with physicians regarding questions or irregularities on prescriptions.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy.
Licensed to practice pharmacy in the state of Washington.
Successful completion of training in the specialized functions of preparing and dispensing compounded parenteral products, including the principles of aseptic technique and quality assurance.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- One-year pharmacy experience.
