This position may include travel and/ or Weekend with added Differential pay. You may need to travel to any of the South Region ( First Hill, Renton and/or Federal Way). However, there is no evening or on-call/pager.
Cardiovascular Ultrasound Technologist Up to $5,000 Hiring Bonus
Cardiovascular Ultrasound Technologist Essential functions
Conduct transthoracic echocardiograms and vascular sonograms, including doppler and color-flow imaging testing.
Conduct stress echocardiograms, including cardiac doppler and color-flow imaging testing.
Conduct arterial physiological testing.
Assess appropriateness of orders for testing and confers with cardiology or vascular staff when concerns arise.
Write and proof reports.
Assess patient needs in terms of urgent care.
Clean instruments and equipment before each patient use in a manner that prevents the transmission of disease. Discard contaminated and disposable items after use in procedures.
Assure equipment is in working order and good repair by troubleshooting, calling in for needed repairs and maintaining repair logs and history on each piece of equipment.
Participates in Quality Improvement and accreditation processes
Oversee scheduling of clinic procedures.
Oversee lab room needs in terms of equipment, supplies, and safety issues as they arise.
Order office and medical supplies as needed and maintain an inventory of each.
Maintain logs and statistics as directed.
Perform tasks related to patient care, such as appointment reminder calls, and other tasks, as necessary.

Completion of cardiovascular sonography program or equivalent educ/experience
Credentialing through the National Registry – ARDMS as RDCS and RVT; or successful completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Sonography program prior to hire, and certification within one year of employment. Must maintain credentialing.
