Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Chief Administrative Officer - Pacific Medical Centers to Seattle, WA.

The CAO is accountable for developing, executing and monitoring key growth strategies for Pacific Medical Centers. Leads strategic initiatives in order to achieve structure change and growth through acquisition, network expansion and/or affiliation with other health care providers. Responsible for expansion due diligence, implementation planning, health plan growth strategies, physician and other provider network development in new areas of service. Formulates new strategies for capital growth opportunities. Oversight responsibilities include organizational finance, budget, and revenue cycle departments. Continually informs top management of long-range health care trends and recommends appropriate action. Reviews laws which have an effect on planned initiatives. Collaborates with PMC Executives and works in a manner that is consistent with PMC’s leadership principles – setting an example, celebrating successes, and ensuring accountability. Directs all aspects of the company strategic planning and business development operations in alignment with the mission, values, and objectives of the department and organization.

In this position you will:

  • Formulate new strategies for capital growth opportunities.

  • Have oversight responsibilities including; organizational finance, budget, revenue cycle departments as well as and health plan rate negotiation.

  • Continually inform top management of long-range health care trends and recommends appropriate action.

  • Review laws which have an effect on planned initiatives.

  • Collaborate with PMC Executives and works in a manner that is consistent with PMC’s leadership principles – setting an example, celebrating successes, and ensuring accountability.

  • Direct all aspects of the company strategic planning and business development operations in alignment with the mission, values, and objectives of the department and organization.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Masters degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Health Planning or Business Administration required.

  • Minimum ten years of strategic planning in a senior leadership role within an integrated delivery system is required.

  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.

  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Health plan experience strongly preferred.
