The Clinic Supervisor is under the direction of the Practice Manager and Director of Operations provides leadership and management for the clinic operations. Oversees all aspects of the practice/clinic operation including financial management and daily operations. Assesses, evaluates, and implements systems to improve clinic operations. Manages supply costs, facilities, labor costs and staff productivity. Works in collaborating clinic leadership and staff to ensure the clinic(s) meets performance expectations in the areas of medical quality, service, access, utilization and financial. Represents clinic(s) in organizational projects and committees.
In this position you will:
Manages clinic personnel as designee of Practice Manager and Director of Operations.
Oversees recruitment, orientation, evaluation, discipline and development of line personnel. Monitors performance in all areas of clinic.
Assesses, revises, develops, and implements clinic operations staffing models in coordination with Practice Manager and Director of Operations and organizational initiatives.
Ensures supervised employees understand their defined responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities.
Initiates, investigates and facilitates staff advocacy issues.
Participates in PMC and Clinic Leadership committees, projects and functions as appropriate.
Provides daily leadership in all the aspects of the clinic to achieve the highest levels of provider, patient and employee satisfaction. Monitors performance of all staff, regardless of reporting structure, if on site in the clinic. Supports providers, regardless of reporting structure, if on site in the clinic.
Directing and Decision Making:
Communicates organizational information to and from clinical staff, including performance in all benchmarked areas.
Coordinates all facility needs, issues and requests with PMC’s facility personnel and/or vendors. Resolves any emergency facility problems or interventions in absence of Practice Manager and Director of Operations.
Assists with the assessment, planning, development and implementation of operating procedures, practice management systems and work processes that support clinic operations. Utilizes reports and dashboards as appropriate.
Monitors and adheres to expense budgets, including staffing, capital and supply expenses.
Under the direction of the Practice Manager and Director of Operations, assists in development and monitoring of the Clinic Budget and develops financial management skills necessary for clinic management.
Is responsible for achieving Accounts Receivable performance standards as defined by organizational benchmarks/goals.
Facilitates achievement ofquality, service and access benchmarks.
Ensures implementation andmaintenance of a customer feedback and complaint management process.
Under direction of ClinicDirector, implements and maintains quality improvement programs for the clinic.
Required qualifications for this position include:
2 years of ambulatory care experience.
2 years of progressive supervisory and management experience, with budgetary and line experience.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Administration or Business Administration. -OR- equivalent educ/experience
5 years of supervisory experience.
