Pacific Medical Centers Director of Administration Services in Seattle, Washington

The Director of Administration Services will provide leadership and management of PacMed administrative and operational services as assigned by the COO. Assure longterm organizational success through overall excellence of operations, outcomes, quality, service, staff and physician satisfaction, financial viability and leadership. Lead, develop and support manager and supervisors in administrative areas.

In this position you will:

  • Support the COO in several administrative areas and in the overall leadership of PacMed Administration.

  • Understand, support, and implement the mission of PacMed to deliver health care to those in need in the performance of all job responsibilities.

  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures including the recording of community benefit services and costs.

  • With COO and other executives prepare and recommend budgets, goals, and objectives taking into consideration input from providers.

  • Supervise staff, including managers, supervisors, and support staff as assigned by the COO. Providing selection, training, disciplining, terminating, and performance improvement. Mentor staff on issues arising from day-to-day operations.

  • Hold regular staff meetings to discuss methods for improving customer service, efficient/safe operations and overall medical group performance.

  • Inform staff members of any changes to policies or procedures.

  • Partner with other senior leadership on business operations and strategy. Serve on appropriate Committee’s.

  • Create, recommend and implement new programs to increase and maintain patient care and satisfaction.

  • Maintain current knowledge in the field of ambulatory care.

  • Formulate plan to meet strategic goals and coordinate with other management.

  • Ensure that organizational/regional goals are met and that all accrediting/reporting standards are complied with.

  • Monitor overall performance of the medical group as delegated by the COO - budget, operations, financial targets, customer service, etc

  • Conduct performance appraisals of staff and provide them with positive feedback and critical input as required. Address performance problems in a timely manner

  • Demonstrate competency with all position related software programs.

  • Consistent use of appropriate tactics for excellent service.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Three (3) years as an experienced health care leader with a minimum of 3-5 years proven track record in multiple areas of healthcare management, operations and corporate functions.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Master's Degree
