We are seeking a Financial Analyst to serve as an internal Physician Compensation consultant to Pacific Medical Centers' senior management and department directors. Responsible for organizing, analyzing, and presenting comprehensive physician compensation information to finance, physicians, and physician leadership to support Physician Compensation functions. Activities include acquiring and validating input used to calculate physician compensation, as well as ad-hoc analyses. Manage the application of business requirements including changes to those requirements to maintain the integrity and timeliness of Physician Compensation. Additionally, liaise with providers to proactively engage them in participation in the Physician Compensation program and respond to their inquiries regarding their compensation. Process Physician Compensation monthly, vet with stakeholders, and disseminate results to providers.
In this position you will:
Monthly process Physician Compensation analysis to provide accurate and timely information. Actively acquires, assesses, and validates data required to process Physician Compensation. Proactively determines accuracy of input, provides recommendations on and execution of improvements to the process in order to maintain accuracy of output.
Quarterly, prepares templates in Excel, meet with stakeholders to quarterly assess advances, and changes to provider participation in model. Annually perform reconciliation and settlement analysis for fiscal year compensation, including adjustments and incentive pay. Prepare and execute changes to the model for any annual changes to assumptions, including but not limited to, rates, incentive pay, and adjustment methodologies.
Conducts and documents complex financial and budget analysis projects. Performs research and analysis to provide management with financial data and recommendations for use in setting and realizing profit objectives.
Works with the Physician Compensation Committee to review departmental and provider YTD rates, annual projections, and provider draw rates. Monthly tracks provider performance against expectations and analyzes major variances for stakeholders; prepares a variance report for executive management identifying variances over or under expectation.
Disseminate Physician Compensation information to providers, finance, and leadership. Monitor and respond to inquiries with focus on customer service. Investigate, perform root cause analysis, and recommend mitigations or execute solutions.
Required qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor's Degree Finance, Accounting, or Business preferred
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
2 years Experience in financial analysis, specifically in a healthcare setting.
Experience developing and using complex models in Excel with disparate sources.
Experience in business and variance analysis.
