We are seeking a Lead Clinical Registered Nurse, Certified Specialist to provide professional nursing care as directed by the Washington State Nurse Practice Act and Pacific Medical Centers policies, procedures, and protocols, i.e., provides primary and specialty health care services in collaboration with other members of the health care team while integrating clinical, teaching, consulting, care coordination/case management, and leadership nursing roles.

In this position you will:

  • Utilize a systematic approach to nursing practice, incorporating the principles of Nursing Process when delivering care.

  • Provide care requiring specialized skills, experience, knowledge, and demonstrated competency.

  • Be responsible for workload distribution, on the job training, work review and simple complaint resolution under the direction of supervisor, and in accordance with supervisor's guidelines of at least three other staff members.

  • Act as an information resource for standard policy and procedural questions.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Nursing degree (Baccalaureate, Associate or Diploma) from an accredited school of nursing.

  • Currently licensed to practice in Washington State.

  • Basic Life Support or ACLS certification within 3 months of hire.

  • One year recent RN experience in a patient care setting.

  • Three to five years recent experience in a setting treating cardiac patients.

  • Recent critical care experience – ICU, surgery, or ED.

  • Computer skills: typing, email, word-processing.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Two plus years recent RN experience in a patient care setting.

  • IV therapy certification.

  • Prior experience with general Cardiology, Pacemaker Checks, Holter reading, Stress Test (Dobutamine and Nuclear).

  • CCRN Certification.

  • ACCN Certification.

  • Recent prior experience in an out-patient setting.

  • Prior experience with general Cardiology, Pacemaker Checks, Holter reading, Stress Test (Dobutamine and Nuclear).

The First Hill clinic is conveniently located east of I-5 in central Seattle. The clinic offers both primary care (Internal Medicine) and numerous areas of specialty care from Audiology to Women’s Health. Services offered at First Hill include ambulatory surgery, cardiovascular and echocardiography labs, infusion therapy, x-ray, onsite laboratory and pharmacy. Interpreter services are also available for our patients.
