Find what you’re looking for in your career, at PacMed as as Materials and Logistic Specialist (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work in Purchasing department in Seattle, WA.

Responsible for logistic and support activities relating to the supply chain, receiving, inventory, stocking, storage, and movement of materials. Maintains accurate inventory control and monitors customer requirements/inquiries. Analyzes data to determine inventory change requirements. Follows up and expedites ordered supplies. Sets up necessary facilities to support inventory, Counts physical inventory, checking minimums and maximums, originating and checking and routing forms according to procedure.

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • In coordination with the Supply Chain Department, plans, organizes, and performs most phases of product or service distribution activities and is responsible for coordination and maintenance of the supply system or areas, in accord with established program and service parameters and protocols.

  • Works with providers and clinic staff to meet supply needs for patient support by identifying appropriate products, negotiating pricing, and ordering.

  • Organizes and maintains records pertinent to stock levels, supply quantities issued, and other data; recommends and coordinates changes in supply level and line items as needed to support clinic operations and cost reduction goals and objectives

  • Assists all staff with stock requests and facilitating applicable customer service issues.

  • Develops a “just in time” lean stocking system. Develops and maintains reports on inventory and cost in relation to budget, verifies stock received vs. AP report. Maintains stocking system

  • Contributes to the creation of operational procedures for inventory activities to ensure a high level of inventory accuracy. (i.e. Count par location inventory, Replenish par locations, Correct par location data errors, Calculate average par location usage, Conduct par inventory inquiries, delete par locations, maintain multiple par locations.).

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Successful completion of internal training and testing program for Pacific Medical Center’s Material Management Software Requisitioning Application.

  • Working in a medical environment and/or a warehouse or distribution center.

  • A valid Washington Driver License.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Associate's Degree
