$3,000 sign-on bonus eligible!

  • Responsible for performing administrative duties and support for Anticoagulation department which includes

  • Voicemail retrieval and distribution to appropriate nurse

  • Answer calls that are within MA scope

  • Monitor and label INR results for Right Fax

  • Monitor labs and ensure that results are being faxed consistently

  • Monitor new ACC enrollments

  • Responsible for coordination of peri-procedural requirements for patients on anticoagulants.

  • Responsible for initiating and monitoring INR home machine enrollment forms

  • In conjunction with an RN, participates in gathering of data that contributes to assessment, planning and evaluation of care delivered.

  • Practices team-based care and patient education initiatives to support health and wellness of patients.

  • Participates in quality improvement initiatives

  • Telephone screening of patients and provide instruction to patient when directed by RN or RpH.

  • Participates in prescription management tasks including pending of new prescriptions and renewals.

  • Sends appropriate laboratory testing orders and follow approved clinical practice guidelines and workflows

  • Schedule and register patients for office or virtual visits with RpH or RN

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High School Diploma or GED and graduate of accredited school for medical assistants, or an equivalent combination of coursework, experience/training to qualify to sit for the WA State Certification exam.

  • Active MA-C in state of WA

  • Current BLS - Must be AHA accredited

  • Six (6) months Healthcare experience

  • Six (6) months Medical Assistant experience

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Graduate of accredited school for medical assistants, or an equivalent combination of coursework, experience/training to qualify to sit for the WA State Certification exam.

  • Active National certification/registration by AMCA, AAMA, AMT, NHA, NCCT, or NAHP as a Medical Assistant
