Sign-On Bonus $5,000 (External Only)

The Medical Assistant IV will work under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A MA IV is capable of performing all aspects of the MA I and MA II and MA III roles. Additionally, the MA IV serves in a leader role or is highly skilled and trained in multiple complex specialty areas and oversees ambassadors, change agents, quality champions, and preceptors within the clinic.

In this position you will:

  • Serve as a lead by supporting clinical management in the clinic's daily operations, quality, and workflow efficiency and/or is highly skilled and trained in multiple complex specialty areas and oversees ambassadors, change agents, quality champions, and preceptors within the clinic

  • Deliver upon the service expectations of both patients and fellow team members by listening to their needs; engaging in positive interactions; and following through on promises made in a thoughtful, efficient, timely and courteous manner so that their total outcome is better than expected.

  • Operate as a fully competent MA performing all job functions timely, efficiently and effectively utilizing knowledge of medical assistant training and skills, and has reached competency in advanced procedures for the Clinic/locations supported.

  • As appropriate, have validated competencies in high-risk and/or advanced procedures needing specialized expertise in multiple clinical areas.

  • Perform all duties and passed competency testing/evaluation as required for a Medical Assistant I, Medical Assistant II, and Medical Assistant III.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Graduate of accredited school for medical assistants, or an equivalent combination of coursework, experience/training to qualify to sit for a National Certification exam

  • Upon hire (WA State Only): active MA-C in state of WA AND active national certification/registration by AMCA, AAMA, AMT, NHA, NCCT, or NAHP as a Medical Assistant

  • Upon hire: Current BLS - Must be AHA accredited

  • 3 years Medical assisting experience in a clinic setting

  • 3 years experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast paced environment, including handling confidential data with discretion

  • 6 months working experience in a PSJH clinic within the last 3 years, OR 18 months experience in a Lead MA role in a clinical setting in lieu of

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree
