This is a full time, fully benefited management opportunity with PacMed at our Corporate Headquarters in Seattle WA.
We are seeking a Patient Access Manager to be responsible for the daily operations of the Patient Access Center, Pre-Registration, interpreter services, special coordination of care, and Master Schedulers’ functions. The Patient Access Manager will serve as a liaison between these departments and the Primary and Specialty Care Clinics as well as integrate those departments’ services with the Clinics' primary functions. Additionally, the role of the Patient Access Manager will develop and implement policies and procedures that guide or support service, assess and improve department performance, and ensures orientation and continuing education of departmental staff.
In this position you will:
Supervise proper answering of calls, scheduling of appointments, patient registration, benefit verification, authorizations and communications
Ensure proper staffing levels are maintained
Demonstrate “service excellence” and a commitment to team working day to day activities
Ensures Quality Assurance on registration for all areas involved.
Work collaboratively with Operations Team to ensure Customer Service and Communication processes support the clinic practice teams.
Responsible for establishing and ensuring a high level of excellent customer service
Ensure appropriate staffing coverage in the Service Center at all times
Educate staff on process changes including, appointment scheduling software, scheduling guidelines, benefit verification software, and authorization procedures and master scheduling.
Hire, train, and develop staff to achieve department quality and productivity goals.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration or Business Administration/Management
Minimum of three (3) years of Medical, Call Center, Customer Access or Billing Management experience.
Minimum of three (3) years of progressive leadership experience in a Multi-discipline Specialty Clinic, or comparable position.
Good understanding of revenue cycle including registration, insurance regulations, and financial counseling
Working understanding of Managed Care Plan principles, indemnity insurers, and government insured
Strong customer service skills and complaint resolution experience.
Preferred Qualifications for this position include:
- Experience with EPIC
