We are seeking a Patient Access & Navigation Associate to facilitate incoming and outgoing communications both internal and external for Pacific Medical Centers. The Patient Access & Navigation Associate will provide efficient, accurate and effective customer-focused communication services.
In this position you will:
Perform full patient registration at the time of the call and schedule routine and complex primary care and specialty appointments.
Answer routine insurance questions.
Obtain and verifies insurance
Obtain current insurance information for all patients
Work collaboratively with the back office teams through the messaging system and via phone call to ensure patient needs are relayed in a timely manner
Ensure communication provides an exceptional patient experience
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 1 years of customer service experience
Demonstrated strong customer service disposition
Proficiency in word processing with better than average accuracy.
Comfortable in the use of a PC and working in a windows environment.
Excellent telephone etiquette and interpersonal skills; team player.
Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
Ability to enter insurance and other information accurately into computer system.
Ability to perform other jobs in addition to answering high volume calls
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Minimum of one year of experience working in a high-volume call center environment.
Bilingual candidate preferred
