Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Patient Access & Navigation Representative Lead in Patient Access at Providence Pacific Medical Centers Beacon Hill in Seattle, WA.
The Patient Access & Navigation Representative Lead provides efficient, accurate, and effective customer focused communication services, pre-registration of new patients and verification of registration for established patients.
In this position you will:
Provides routine and complex financial counseling to patients for estimation of payments, payment arrangements, discount payment program, and financial policies and procedures
Advise patients on complex insurance verification issues
Advises staff and providers on routine and complex billing, insurance and registration issues.
Acts as liaison for clinic staff and providers with corporate Business Services.
Registers new patients into Pacific Medical Centers systems.
Verifies registration for established patients of Pacific Medical Centers.
Notifies appropriate departments or staff of any registration issues.
Contact patients for updated registration information, if needed.
Processes daily electronic insurance eligibility verification.
Reviews all insurance verification for eligibility/benefits and consults with the appropriate areas for clarification or assistance.
Updates patient insurance registration with appropriate information.
Ensures timely processing of insurance verification throughout all steps of process.
Utilizes expertise in various computer systems.
Assists with management of the verification processes by coordination with clinic and business office staff.
Communicates regularly with payers, managed care, and other health care entities.
Required qualifications for this position include:
H.S. Diploma or GED.
Three (3) years of health care business office or insurance experience required, with a minimum of 1-year ambulatory practice experience.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- One (1) year of experience with coding: ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS.
