Sign-On Bonus $1,500 (External Only)
Provides exceptional, efficient, accurate, and effective customer focused communication to help patients and their families, providers, peers, and staff navigate insurance policies, benefits, and procedures with thorough understanding of Pacific Medical insurance contracts. Resolves edits and denials related to referrals and authorizations and provides routine financial counseling to self--pay patients. Works collaboratively with front, back office, other administrative teams and external organizations in the medical community to ensure an exceptional patient experience.

Understand the importance of maintaining patient confidentiality in a medical setting
Demonstrated application of excellent customer service skills and phone etiquette
Able to work with a diverse social and cultural population
Excellent verbal communication/interpersonal skills
Demonstrated attention to detail, able to prioritize and complete multiple tasks with minimal direction
Demonstrated proficiency with PC-based computer skills
Basic knowledge of medical terminology. Completion of PMC’s the Medical Terminology Test for BOS/PSR/PAR Staff with a passing score within 90 days of hire
Required qualifications for this position include:
2 years Health care or insurance experience required, with a minimum of 2-year ambulatory practice experience.
Prior experience in liaison role for providers and staff
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Bilingual preferred
