Pacific Medical Centers Patient Appointment & Registration Specialist - Patient Access in Seattle, Washington

This is a .5 FTE position (20 hours per week) and is eligible for benefits.

We are seeking a Patient Appointment & Registration Specialist to facilitate incoming and outgoing communications for Pacific Medical Centers and clients of the Pacific Medical Centers; provides efficient, accurate and effective customer-focused communication services.

In this position you will:

  • Perform full patient registration at the time of the call.

  • Schedule routine and complex primary care and specialty appointments.

  • Answer routine insurance questions.

  • Obtain and verify insurance eligibility and benefits for some same day and next day appointments.

  • Obtain current insurance information for new patients and notifies the pre-registration team of the visit.

  • Potentially work the reminder appointment list.

  • Work collaboratively with the back office teams through the messaging system and via phone call to ensure patient needs are relayed in a timely manner.

  • Ensure phone communication provides an exceptional patient experience.

  • May require travel to other Pacific Medical Center locations.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 1 years customer service experience.

  • Demonstrated strong customer service disposition.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • 1 years' experience working in a high-volume call center environment.

  • Healthcare background.

  • Bilingual
