Pacific Medical Centers Process Improvement Specialist - Training in Seattle, Washington


Find what you’re looking for in your career, at PacMed as a Process Improvement Specialist (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work at the Training Department in Seattle, WA.

The Process Improvement Specialist will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and evaluating clinical workflows and training needs.

In this position you will:

  • Drive workflow development, including but not limited to: discovery work to determine scope of problem, helping to clarify business need, collaboration with both primary and specialty caregivers, process redesign, collaborate with other teams to assist in defining implementation and performance/quality monitoring stages, coordinate and support new EHR tools tied to developed workflows and provide first level training on tools to pilot sites and trainers

  • Demonstrate pragmatic, consensus building, conflict-prevention and resolution skills

  • Facilitate discussions with clinical caregivers and other teams to identify potential improvements

  • Develop and maintains a strong working relationship with physicians and clinical departments

  • Produce clear documentation for project implementation and management including but not limited to, minutes from meetings, communications to team members, project schedule, weekly status reports and evaluation summaries

  • Develop appropriate presentation materials

  • Present project concepts and update in a variety of internal settings

  • Participate in the identification of desired outcomes and in the development of strategies to achieve outcomes

  • Support clinical caregivers within their onboarding period

  • Train clinical skills


Required qualifications for this position includes:

  • Bachelor's Degree in health administration, public health, or related field -or- equivalent education/experience

  • Current Washington State MA-C License

  • Valid Washington Drivers License

  • Three (3) years of project management, clinical support, EHR optimization, organizational development, staff training or other related fields

  • Experience in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access programs

  • Technical competency with electronic health records (EHR) and their integration into clinical workflow

  • Excellent organizational, analytical and time management skills

Preferred qualifications for this position includes:

  • Epic-related work experience.

  • Knowledge of population health principles including health measurement and monitoring, identification of health indicators and determinants
