We are seeking a Radiology Technologist - Pain Service to apply understanding of Pain Management procedures by producing radiographs of the highest possible quality for medical /procedural diagnostic purposes, in an atmosphere that promotes high patient satisfaction and outcomes.
In this position you will:
Prepares patient for diagnostic imaging guidance under fluoroscopy for the physician. Explains procedure, positions, and handles patients with a high degree of professional ethics, care, tact, courtesy, patience, and safety as required gaining their confidence, trust and cooperation
Positions, adjusts, and controls a variety of radiographic equipment to apply ionizing radiation for radiographic examinations, ensuring proper setting for each examination, including the C-arm, portable, and tomography units and accessories. Verifies that all equipment in procedure suite such as C-Arm and fluoroscopy table is working properly
Provides radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations to ensure patient and staff safety
Analyzes patient’s general body size, physical condition and age in order to accurately select proper technical factors. Selects proper type and size of film
Interprets technical quality of radiographs and matches x-ray films to previous similar films in patient’s file
Qualifications:
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School Diploma or GED
Completion of Certified Radiology based program
Certified by ARRT
Licensed in the state of Washington
Basic Life Support certification
Three (3) years experience in hospital
Experience in the OR and/or supporting procedures in clinic or Pain environment
