This is a Per Diem position and is not eligible for benefits nor is there a guarantee of hours. PacMed does pay a 15% Per Diem premium.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse ASC to plan, direct and deliver high quality comprehensive nursing care in accordance with Washington State Nurse Practice Act and Pacific Medical Center’s ASC By-Laws.

In this position you will:

  • Assess patient GI and Pain Management procedure needs, develop a plan of care for each patient, deliver direct care, evaluate outcome of care, and adjust plan and subsequent interventions accordingly .

  • Assist providers during endoscopic and pain procedures.

  • Triage patients, both in person and by phone to prepare patients timely access to the ASC.

  • Provide patient ASC preparation information, advice and health care teaching to patients and their families in person or via telephone as part of the ASC pre-admitting process.

  • Administer medications within the scope of registered nursing practice, including emergency medications.

  • Support the operations of the department by assisting with clerical duties as needed.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Nursing degree (Baccalaureate, Associate or Diploma) from an accredited school of nursing.

  • Currently licensed to practice nursing in Washington State.

  • Basic Life Support and ACLS certification.

  • Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in Acute Care/In Patient, ASC Setting, Critical Care, Operating Room, Emergency Room, Recovery Room or Endoscopy/GI Lab.

  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office, EMR EPIC.

  • Training in conscious sedation and equipment used within the ASC department.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Certification in specialty (CCRN Certification, CNOR Certification, or CGRN Certification).

  • Training in equipment and instrument Sterilization.

  • Training in sterile technique.

Interpreter services are also available for our patients.
