Pacific Medical Centers RN Certified Specialist, ASC - Madison Ambulatory Surgery in Seattle, Washington

Description:

PacMed is looking for a Registered Nurse - Certified Specialist, Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) in Madison Ambulatory Surgery at Pacific Medical Centers - First Hill Madison in Seattle, WA.

The Clinic RN provides professional nursing care as directed by the Washington State Nurse Practice Act and Pacific Medical Centers policies, procedures, and protocols; i.e. provides primary and specialty health care services in collaboration with other members of the health care team while integrating the nursing roles of clinical, teaching, consulting, care coordination/case management, and leadership.

In this position you will:

  • Plan, direct and deliver high quality comprehensive nursing care in accordance with Washington State Nurse Practice Act and Pacific Medical Center's ASC By-Laws.

  • Follow professional standards of nursing practice, procedures, and protocols.

  • Under the direct supervision of the LIP provide comprehensive procedural sedation services in collaboration with other members of the ASC health care team.

  • Integrate nursing process in carrying out effective patient care and leadership roles.

  • Utilize a collegial and systematic approach to nursing practice.

  • Ensure ASC efficiency through active participation of quality assurance, process improvement, infection control and staff development program initiatives and oversight. Adheres to state regulatory and compliance guidelines for ASC.

  • Provide specialized care in the ASC, utilize critical thinking skills, experience, knowledge, and demonstrated competency in patient pre-admission screenings, preadmit, intra-procedure and recovery of ASC patients.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications:

  • Nursing degree (Baccalaureate, Associate or Diploma) from an accredited school of nursing

  • Currently licensed to practice nursing in Washington State

  • Training in conscious sedation and equipment used within the ASC department

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

  • Three (3) years of recent RN experience in an in-patient care or Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) setting

  • Three (3) years of recent experience in an ASC or acute care setting: Critical care, Operating Room, Emergency Room, Recovery Room, Endoscopy, GI Lab

Preferred qualifications :

  • Nursing degree (Baccalaureate, Associate or Diploma) from an accredited school of nursing

  • Currently licensed to practice nursing in Washington State

clinic offers both primary care (Internal Medicine) and numerous areas of specialty

care from Audiology to Women’s Health. Services offered at First Hill include

ambulatory surgery, cardiovascular and echocardiography labs, infusion therapy,

x-ray, onsite laboratory and pharmacy. Interpreter services are also available

for our patients.
