Pacific Medical Centers RN Certified Specialist, ASC - Madison Ambulatory Surgery in Seattle, Washington
PacMed is looking for a Registered Nurse - Certified Specialist, Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work in Madison Ambulatory Surgery at Pacific Medical Centers - First Hill Madison in Seattle, WA.
The Clinic RN provides professional nursing care as directed by the Washington State Nurse Practice Act and Pacific Medical Centers policies, procedures, and protocols; i.e. provides primary and specialty health care services in collaboration with other members of the health care team while integrating the nursing roles of clinical, teaching, consulting, care coordination/case management, and leadership.
In this position you will:
Assess patient GI and Pain Management procedure needs, develop a plan of care for each patient, deliver direct care, evaluate outcome of care, and adjust plan and subsequent interventions accordingly .
Assist providers during endoscopic and pain procedures.
Triage patients, both in person and by phone to prepare patients timely access to the ASC.
Provide patient ASC preparation information, advice and health care teaching to patients and their families in person or via telephone as part of the ASC pre-admitting process.
Administer medications within the scope of registered nursing practice, including emergency medications.
Support the operations of the department by assisting with clerical duties as needed.
Nursing degree (Baccalaureate, Associate or Diploma) from an accredited school of nursing
Currently licensed to practice nursing in Washington State
Training in conscious sedation and equipment used within the ASC department
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Three (3) years of recent RN experience in an in-patient care or Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) setting
Three (3) years of recent experience in an ASC or acute care setting: Critical care, Operating Room, Emergency Room, Recovery Room, Endoscopy, GI Lab
Preferred qualifications :
Training in equipment and instrument Sterilization.
Training in sterile technique.
Certification in specialty preferred. (CCRN Certification, CNOR Certification, or CGRN Certification).
