This is a Per Diem position and is not eligible for benefits nor is there a guarantee of hours. PacMed does provide a 15% Per Diem Premium!

This RN position will be based out of our Madison Infusion Clinic and will also work at our Canyon Park Infusion Clinic.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to provide primary and specialty health care services in collaboration with other members of the health care team while integrating clinical, teaching, consulting, care coordination/case management, and leadership nursing roles.

In this position you will:

  • Provide primary and specialty health care services in collaboration with other members of the health care team while integrating the nursing roles of clnical teaching, consulting, care coordination/case management and leadership.

  • Administer chemotherapy agents and other treatment medications within the scope of registered nursing practice.

  • Document subjective and objective assessment, evaluation, plan, interventions and chemotherapy administration.

  • Review laboratory values, including ordering blood products PRN, adjusting EPO doses per clinical pathway and initiating neutropenic or bleeding precautions PRN and respond accordingly.

  • Validate chemotherapy orders

  • Current proficiency in IV access of all types.

  • Current knowledge of chemotherapeutic agents, and its administration, side effects, management, and patient learning needs

  • Demonstrated evidence of methods used to maintain current knowledge of oncology nursing


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Nursing degree (Baccalaureate, Associate or Diploma) from an accredited school of nursing.

  • Currently licensed to practice in Washington State.

  • Basic Life Support certification within 2 months of hire.

  • One year recent RN experience in a patient care setting or clinical commensurate

  • Computer skills-typing, email and word processing

  • Oncology chemotherapy administration experience

  • Chemotherapy certification required within 6 months of hire

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • A minimum of two years recent RN experience in a patient care setting.

  • Recent prior experience in an outpatient setting.

  • Oncology Nursing Certification.

  • IV therapy certification.

  • Ability to use an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system
