In this position you will:
Provides exceptional, efficient, accurate, and effective customer focused communication to help patients and their families, providers, peers, and staff navigate insurance policies, benefits, and procedures with thorough understanding of Pacific Medical insurance contracts
Resolves edits and denials related to referrals and authorizations and provides routine financial counseling to self--pay patients
Works collaboratively with front, back office, other administrative teams and external organizations in the medical community to ensure an exceptional patient experience.
Required qualifications for this position include:
H.S. Diploma or GED
Comprehensive working knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS
Basic knowledge of medical terminology. Completion of PMC’s the Medical Terminology Test for BOS/PSR/PAR Staff with a passing score within 90 days of hire
Ability to effectively communicate with clinicians, RNs and other clinical staff regarding third party insurance regarding policies and procedure
2 years health care or insurance experience required, with a minimum of
2 years ambulatory experience. Prior experience in liaison role for providers and staff
