The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing highly complex, mission critical, large-sized projects and programs. Projects are focused on internal applications, system implementations, or process improvements. Projects require a high degree of technical and system knowledge with an understanding of healthcare operations. Using existing project management methodology, ensures projects are delivered within scope, on time, within budget, and support USFHP's strategic plan. Partners with appropriate stakeholders and departments to implement all phases of the application and service projects. Assists stakeholders to develop policies and procedures related to operational changes resulting from implementation of applications and services and the effective and timely transition to the appropriate manager.

In this position you will:

  • Plan and coordinate multiple concurrent complex projects, including leading project teams and sponsor groups. Facilitate decision-making, options documents, business/ROI analyses, and serve as the primary manager and delegator of work.

  • Define and monitor project objectives, scope and progress against plan by developing complex project structure, prepare detailed project plans and documentation, assign roles and tasks, implement project management methodologies, build project management infrastructure, and document project requirements.

  • Know how to work within the organization effectively and efficiently to accomplish objectives. Use persuasive interactions with staff, stakeholders etc to maximize productivity

  • Manage and integrate groups of diverse disciplines in collaborative activities by acting as a key liaison and facilitating cross-function communication.

  • Proactively identify, manage and communicate issues, risks, and escalates as appropriate.

  • Coordinate testing, training and implementation tasks as necessary for assigned projects.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, information systems, or related field

  • 5-7 years of experience in similar role in a comparable or larger institution

  • 5-7 years of experience in increasingly responsible, large, complex project management roles

  • Experienced in all areas of project management including multiple project integration, scope, time, cost, quality, staffing, communications, risk, and procurement and have experience in managing multiple related projects to achieve identified project portfolio objectives.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Master's Degree in business, information systems, or related field

  • 3 years of responsibility setting strategic direction for projects and developing project plans that identify key issues, potential problems, approaches, performance metrics and resources

  • 1 year of project management experience in a healthcare setting

  • PMP or PMI-ACP Certification highly desired
